About

Alina Zorkina

Alina Zorkina is a multidisciplinary contemporary artist known for her expressive, large-scale paintings. Working from her studio near Byron Bay, she regularly creates oversized statement pieces for private residences and collaborates with interior designers across Australia, with her work held in private collections both nationally and internationally.

Working across abstraction, portraiture and the human form, Alina’s style is defined by movement, gesture and layered texture. Influenced by abstract expressionism and contemporary street art, her paintings are bold, instinctive and created to bring a strong presence to a space.

Many of Alina’s abstract commissions are deeply personal. She works closely with collectors, drawing inspiration from meaningful landscapes, memories, places, stories and experiences, translating them into original works that carry a connection beyond the canvas.

With more than 1,000 original works sold, Alina’s paintings are held in private collections across Australia and internationally.

In 2025, Alina appeared on Portrait Artist of the Year Australia on ABC iview, where her portrait was chosen by the sitter and she was selected as one of the top three artists of the episode.
